SEP students are transitioning to other levels of education in the next academic year—either high school or college. They will leave the familiar and pass on to the unfamiliar / the "new" to them. Transitions can be stressful for everyone—students, families, school staff.... The Volunteer Staff of the Saturday Enrichment Program (SEP) are here to help transitioning in two specific ways. 1. We will share information and lived experience about the next educational levels. (See Resources/Links slide) 2. Consultants (former SEP Volunteer Staff) will share tips on skills and strategies to help with transitions, based on the stages of Adolescent Development. We will use Havighurst's Developmental Task Theory. (See excerpt on the next slide)
